Farewell to 2025!

Delivered a total of 82 individual sessions and 2 workshops. The majority of sessions were combined horse and dog sessions -59; a further 10 were dog only sessions and 13 were horse only sessions.

In addition, Sentient Clan Services collaborated as part of the Equine Connection Collective to deliver 2 Workshops one to celebrate International Women's Day (full day workshop held in Moutere with 5 participants) and another to support parents who have children who attend RDA.( half day workshop held at Golden Bay RDA with 4 parents- photo below)

Presentations 

Te Where Mahana (to mental health practitioners), Welby and talking cafe (older peoples groups with a dog) Dog groups see flyer (Pause, protect and Play)and monthly meetings as acting chair from Oct 25.

Keela completed Trickster training and Scent training with Keen as dog training.

1 new dog connected with Sentient Clan Services -Noah former ARK dog to add to the pack for individual sessions in Richmond.

Volunteer/ Consultant hours

Supported as consultant to The Peaceable Kindom and Ride for Hope 

Committee member and Acting chair DogB Golden Bay and ran a Walk in the Park.

Support for Riding for the Disabled (RDA) with RDA ponies, volunteers and at Golden Bay A & P show.

Online Pathways Awarua in person and online  training 

Successes-  Collaborating with other practioners to offer empowerment workshops for women. One young person went on from working with SCS, completing Companion Animal Services course and began dog behavioural training getting part time employment. Another young person who was involved with the Healing Species pilot got the prize for best student with Papa Taiao Earthcare’s Future Farming.

Plans 2026

Return to part time study to add Professional Supervision to services offered by SCS.

Complete further training sessions with Keen as Dog training.

Add to the Golden Bay dog pack and extend the Healing Species adapted program to small groups and schools.
